MONTEZUMA’S GOLD

Social Media Do’s and Don’ts
Remember there are GANGSTERS Here- Often Media Shy
A gentle reminder to keep our adventure fun, safe and respectful for everyoneThis weekend is designed to be a playful escape filled with characters, clues, mischief, mystery and possibly a few drinks. Many guests will be fully in character. Some people may act in ways that fit their role rather than their real selves. The aim is fun. To keep this a safe space for every guest, please follow these simple guidelines.
NotFlix Documentary
We will have a light hearted documentary filmed throughout the weekend by NotFlix, the entirely trustworthy 'spoof' production company. The producer 'Beverly Hills' will capture the fun and produce a short humorous video for everyone to enjoy after the event.
Filming may happen while guests are in character or out of character. You may step back at any time or let the crew know if you prefer not to be filmed in a particular moment. The final edit will be shared privately within the group after the weekend.
Please remember that filming does not mean everything is suitable for social media. Until the finished video is ready, treat any filming as part of our shared safe space.
.
Do
• Enjoy yourself and feel free to post your own content
• Share the spirit of the weekend without revealing plot details or clues
• Ask before posting photos or videos of others
• Be kind and respectful to anyone who is in character
• Assume someone may regret a moment that felt funny at the time
• Use social media to share good memories rather than content that may embarrass someone
• Let people step out of character if they need space
• Celebrate the fun and the people while respecting boundaries

Don’t
• Do not post photos or videos of others without consent
• Do not share content that may make someone uncomfortable later
• Do not post moments where alcohol has made someone vulnerable
• Do not reveal plot points, secrets or twists
• Do not tag anyone unless they have agreed
• Do not livestream any part of the event
• Do not comment online about someone’s behaviour in or out of character
• Do not post anything that breaks the safe space we are creating

In Short
This weekend is a safe space for friends and family to play, perform, explore and have fun. Your social media is your own, but please use it in a way that protects others, respects boundaries and keeps the mystery alive. If you are unsure, ask first or leave it out.
